1. Who we are

CW-INSPECT is an inspection-readiness training application operated by Charted Waters ([legal entity, address]), an ABS-approved training provider (“we”, “us”). Where your employer or manning agency commissions assessments, that organisation is the controller of your personal data and we act as its service provider.

2. What we collect

We do not collect payment details, government IDs, or sensitive personal data through this application.

3. Why we use it

4. AI scoring

To score an answer, the question and your typed answer are sent over an encrypted connection to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate a score and coaching note. Your name and login are not sent with them. Under Anthropic’s API terms, this content is not used to train their models.

5. Who can see your data

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties other than the AI provider described above and our hosting provider.

6. How long we keep it

Assessment records are retained for [e.g. 12 months] or as agreed with your employing company, after which they are deleted or anonymised. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us (subject to your employer’s record-keeping requirements).

7. How we protect it

Access requires a personal login; passwords are stored only as one-way hashes; traffic is served over HTTPS; and the underlying data store is not publicly accessible.

8. Your rights & contact

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. To exercise them, or for any privacy question, contact info@charted-waters.com.

9. Terms of use & disclaimer
