These terms govern your use of charted-waters.com. They do not govern the provision of our services — training, audits, inspections, consultancy or software — which are supplied under a separate written agreement in each case.

Use of this website

You may view, download and print material from this site for your own information and for the purpose of evaluating our services. You may not republish our material commercially, present it as your own, or use it in a way that misrepresents Charted Waters.

Information on this site

The content here is general information about our services and about maritime compliance topics. It is not advice on any specific vessel, operation, inspection or regulatory matter, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for an engagement with us or with another competent adviser. Regulatory requirements, inspection regimes and industry questionnaires change; while we aim to keep this site current, we do not warrant that every page reflects the latest position.

Our services

Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance. Where you engage us, the scope, deliverables, fees and liability position are set out in the proposal or agreement for that engagement, and those documents take precedence over anything stated here.

Software

CW-INSPECT, NavSuite and our learning management system are supplied under subscription and are subject to their own terms, which are provided before a subscription begins. Access to any software login area on this site is restricted to authorised users of that product.

Credentials

Charted Waters is an ABS-approved Maritime Training Centre and operates an ABS-certified ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. References to these on this site describe our own approvals and certifications and do not imply that ABS endorses any particular outcome of an engagement.

Where we link to other sites we do so for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss arising from reliance on the general information published on this website. This does not limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and it does not affect liability agreed under a signed engagement.
